Peter Gibson – Founder and CEO
Peter is a globally experienced Executive Manager, most recently as Director of Powdermill Consulting Services Pty Ltd.
Peter brings with him a proven track record of leadership as a Managing Director of multinational HVAC&R companies, as well as extensive global sales, operations and marketing experience.
Peter commenced his career as a refrigeration mechanic, rising through the sales ranks and into various leadership roles, including operations management, and global executive roles. Having worked both in the domestic market and internationally, Peter is well versed in the benefits provided to customers by having a global company backing, with his focus always in bringing customers solutions to solve their everyday challenges and problems.
A graduate of the Swinburne University of Technology Entrepreneurship & Innovation MBA program, Peter utilises proven leadership skills with over 20 years in the HVAC&R industry. His industry and business know-how is well-rounded in all areas, from operation, manufacturing to finance, market and sales.
Brendan Vos – Founder and CTO
Brendan has accumulated global experience in technical, sales and Executive level roles and brings with him a unique combination of skills, and a proven track record of leadership that delivers high quality outcomes.
Brendan commenced his career as a refrigeration mechanic, rising through technical support, then sales and into various leadership roles, including technology leadership and development roles, operations management, and global executive roles.
With an old-fashioned work ethic and a curiosity to learn, Brendan has always taken pride in making sure the right solution is delivered for any situation, and measures success through the building of long-lasting relationships that deliver mutual benefits.
Brendan is currently studying a Masters in Applied Finance at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), with intent to supplement an already well-rounded skillset, and his 18 years experience in the HVAC&R industry.
Solar HVAC Certification
iAire Solar HVAC solar collectors are certified to be more than 65 percent effective per OG-100 to the Solar certification on standard ICC901/SRCC100.
What is the OG-100 Certification Program?
The ICC-SRCC OG-100 Solar Thermal Collector Certification Program for solar thermal collectors assesses compliance with the ICC 901/SRCC 100 standard. This standard sets minimum safety, durability, and performance requirements for various types of solar thermal collectors used for fluids such as water, glycol, and air. Compliance with ICC 901/SRCC 100 is required in most building codes throughout North America, including the IBC, IRC, IMC, IPC model codes, and the California Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6).
iAire Solar HVAC solutions received OG-100 Solar Thermal Collector Certification in 2019. To further validate performance, Solar HVAC was independently tested at the Fraunhofer ISE laboratory in Germany. The test provided a report according to ICC 901/ICC-SRCC 100 (2020)/ISO 9806:2017 standards. This independent testing in laboratory conditions supported the application and certification process in the OG-100 certification program in the USA.
Certification in Australia
OG-100 is not a recognized standard in Australia. Dynamic Industrial Systems, with support from these certifications and test reports, is currently reviewing the requirements to certify these products in Australia. Successful certification in Australia will enable Solar HVAC to qualify for Federal and State energy rebate programs. Rebates can be obtained for current or new installations through a measurement and verification (M&V) process.
Benefits of OG-100 Certification
OG-100 certification qualifies customers in the USA for Federal and State solar rebates, incentives, and tax credits. Once this unit is fully retrofitted to an existing Commercial Rooftop Air Conditioning Unit, the projected payback period is 2.81 years. This calculation considers rebates, incentives, credits, and an estimated solar collector effectiveness of 35 percent.
